He was raised in Macon GA most of his childhood except when his family lived in FL for a short time. Growing up in GA and FL, WM and his brothers would swim in the rivers along with alligators not aware at the time just how dangerous this was. They would also catch small gators with their hands to keep as pets. Wm and his brothers would catch frogs and keep them in large jars only to find them expired the next morning. They were very young and didn't understand why the frogs died because they poked holes in the lid of the jars. Wm told me him and his brothers and sisters use to ride goats, bony backs and all, cause they didn't have a horse. Him and his brother would try to skip school by hiding behind bushes at their bus stop and wait till their bus left but the bus driver would see where they were and lay on the horn till they came out and boarded the bus.
